POLICIES

  • Arrive early and be prepared! Have your ticket out and ready to be scanned. If you have printed your own ticket, make sure it has a clearly legible printed bar code. If you have an electronic ticket on your smartphone, make sure the ticket is pulled up and the bar code is clearly visible. Removable items should be out of your pockets and ready to be placed on the search table. Have your bags open and ready to be searched when you reach the search table. Avoid bringing large bags and prohibited items. Follow instructions from security and staff.

  • The Dothan Civic Center has on-site parking. As well, there is parking around the facility on Adams Street & Foster Street.

  • Any person attending an event at the Dothan Civic Center needs a ticket no matter the age of the attendee.

Bag Policy

For security reasons, all bags brought into the venue must be clear. This includes diaper bags, small clutch purses, bags measuring 4” × 6” or smaller, and all personal bags. A single clear-bag standard helps reduce confusion, speeds up entry, and allows our security staff to easily identify prohibited items.

The maximum allowable clear bag size is 12” × 6” × 12”. Bags exceeding this size will not be permitted.

Medical Bags

We understand that some guests may need to bring essential medical supplies into the venue. Guests requiring medically necessary items are permitted to bring a medical bag, subject to the following guidelines:

Medical bags without medical devices must be clear.

Medical bags may not be used as purses and must contain medical necessities only.

Medical bags are subject to screening and approval by venue management at entry.

Advance notice is encouraged but not required.

Examples of permitted medical items include prescription medications, insulin, EpiPens, and other medically necessary devices or supplies.

Bag Screening

All bags, including approved medical bags, are subject to search upon entry. Inspections are conducted to ensure compliance with venue policies and to maintain a safe environment for all guests.

Guests with medical needs or questions regarding bag approval are encouraged to speak with Guest Services or venue staff upon arrival. Our team is committed to providing reasonable accommodations while maintaining security standards.

Prohibited Items

While medical and clear bags are permitted under this policy, guests should ensure their bags do not contain prohibited items, including but not limited to weapons, illegal substances, or other items restricted by venue policy.

Weapons Policy

Firearms, knives, pepper spray, tasers, chain wallets, or any other type of weapon are strictly prohibited on the premises. Guests found in possession of weapons will be denied entry or ejected from the venue without refund and may be subject to legal action.


Cashless Policy

The Dothan Civic Center is cashless facility. We carry no amount of cash at any time. Visa, Mastercard, & American Express credit, debit, and gift cards are accepted at our box office and concession areas.  We also accept Apple Pay, Google Pay, & Samsung Pay.

Re-Entry Policy

Once guests have entered the venue, re-entry is not permitted. This policy helps maintain security and ensures the safety of all guests throughout the duration of the event. Please plan accordingly and remember to bring all necessary items with you upon entry.


Alcohol Policy

Guests must be 21 years of age or older to purchase and consume alcohol. Proper identification will be required for any guest who appears younger than 35 years of age. Excessive consumption of alcohol is not permitted, and intoxicated guests may be denied entry or removed from the venue.  Guests are limited to the purchase of 2 alcoholic beverages per bar/concessions visit.   The Dothan Civic Center reserves the right to deny entry to anyone at any time.


Smoking Policy

Smoking, including the use of e-cigarettes and vaping devices, is prohibited inside the venue. A designated smoking area does not exist.  Please refer to the No Re-Entry policy.

Behavior Policy

All guests are expected to conduct themselves in a respectful manner towards others. Any behavior deemed disruptive, offensive, or violent will not be tolerated and may result in ejection from the venue.


Dress Code Policy

Guests are required to wear appropriate attire while inside the venue. Shoes and shirts must be always worn, and clothing with offensive language or imagery is not permitted.

Prohibited Items Policy

In addition to weapons, the following items are also prohibited inside the venue: illegal drugs, outside food and beverages, laser pointers, air horns, helium balloons, glitter, confetti, selfie sticks, professional cameras, professional audio recording devices, and any other item deemed to be a security or safety risk by venue staff.

Dance recital cast, beauty pageant contestants, & sporting competition contestants are allowed to bring one beverage container.  Unopened beverages are not permitted.  


Bag Checks and Security Screening Policy

All guests are subject to bag checks and security screening upon entry to the venue. Guests are encouraged to arrive early to allow ample time for this process.

Age Restrictions Policy

Guests 16 years of age or younger are required to be accompanied by an adult 19 years of age or older. Parents or guardians are not allowed to drop guests under 16 years of age, they must have a ticket and accompany for the duration of the event.
